All-on-4 implants are a type of prosthetic used to restore the appearance of an entire arch of missing teeth (upper or lower) with only four dental implants. In front of the jawbone, two implants are placed vertically, and two are placed in the back at an angle. These four implants provide a safe and stable foundation for a complete, fixed dental bridge.

Indications

  • Complete Tooth Loss : This patient is completely edentulous (lacking teeth) or must have all teeth remaining in an arch removed because of extensive disease or decay.
  • Limited Jawbone Volume : Patients with moderate bone loss at the rear of the jaw who are not interested in undergoing bone grafting in large volumes. The angled back implants incorporate more dense bone at the front part.
  • Denture Stabilisation : People who already wear dentures that are uncomfortable, unstable, and ill-fitting and seek a permanent, secure method of replacement.

Effects

  • Instant Fixed Teeth : The process can usually enable a temporary solution with a fixed bridge procedure on the exact surgery day the surgery, (Teeth in a Day) to restore functionality and appearance instantly.
  • Optimised Support and Comfort : The restoration is anchored to four implants, making the arrangement relatively stable and covering only the palate (roof of the mouth), thereby greatly enhancing the taste and comfort experience.
  • Facial Structure Preservation : As with any dental implant, the All-on-4 system prevents natural resorption (deterioration) of the jawbone that supports the integrity of the facial appearance, thereby avoiding the collapsed and aged aesthetic of conventional dentures.
